Groundbreaking is set to begin on the much anticipated World War 2 Memorial outside the Civic Center, in the very near future. At their meeting last night the members of the city council voted 6-0 in support of building the memorial. City council member Larry Foster, who also works with the WW 2 committee, says he is proud that the memorial is finally getting built...
The memorial is expected to be finished by Sept. 1st and some even hope it will be finished by the Decatur Celebration.
