FBI Investigates Decatur Home
FBI agents, along with members of the Illinois Secretary of State Police Bomb Patrol, are still not commenting on why they spent several hours investigating a home near the intersection of Jasper and Logan Thursday afternoon. Roughly 20 officers arrived around 3pm to the residence at 1212 E. Logan St., quickly securing the premeses.
Officers on sight refused to comment on why they were there, and further inquiries through the regional FBI office in Springfield provided no further information. Media contact Brad Ware says details are forthcoming once the investigation is completed.
Neighbors in the area suspect a possible meth ring, but no evidence was visible. Local authorities were not present at the scene and Decatur Police also would not comment on the activities.
